RGN, Independent Nurse Prescriber
Social prescribing works for a wide range of people, including people: with one or more long-term conditions, people who need support with their mental health, people who are lonely or isolated who have complex social needs which affect their wellbeing.
The Practice Nursing Team provides appointments during surgery hours for tasks such as dressings, removal of sutures, injections, vaccinations etc. The team performs routine health checks for all new patients and run various health promotion clinics.
The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
